Why do I need an architect?

Many building projects due to building type, size, complexity or location legally require a licensed architect to design the project. Architects are trained to solve problems in creative ways that assure the health, safety and welfare of the public. Through years of education, experience and passing a rigorous registration examination architects acquire a thorough knowledge of building science, codes and how to orchestrate resources to meet clients’ building needs. An architect is honor bound by a code of ethics to serve and protect the interest of their clients. While there are some talented “building designers” who provide design services it is imperative that the client seek information regarding their qualifications and their level of accountability (if any) to a code of ethics or a licensing board. Architects are required to stand behind the integrity of their services and remain the most qualified professionals to design your building.

In what areas of the country does your firm work?

In addition to my architectural licenses in several states I am certified through the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). Through this avenue, I can obtain reciprocal licensing in all fifty states and territories of the United States. Since the mid-1990s approximately 30% of our work was in locations states away from our home offices. We are frequently hired because of referrals from past clients or potential clients liked our work and design approach.

Why should I consider someone other than a local architect?

While there are some obvious advantages to working with a local professional, today’s technology allows accessibility to almost anyone anywhere in the world. Like medicine and the legal profession, architects may specialize in specific building types or a style you may like. I recommend that you interview a few architects an access who would be a good match for you. Don’t let geography dictate your final choice. We bring a level of passion to our work and fully commit to the clients who hire us and accept their trust very seriously. I hope you will give us a chance to earn your trust and patronage.
